Darya Folsom

Darya Folsom anchors KRON 4 News Daybreak and the KRON 4 Morning News. She came to KRON 4 in 1998 from Washington, D.C., where she was a morning anchor for the Fox station WTTG-TV. Though she was raised in Connecticut, moving to San Francisco was like coming home, because her entire family has been transplanted to the Bay Area over the last 20 years.

Mark Danon

News anchor Mark Danon appears weekdays on The KRON 4 Morning News. He joined  KRON 4 in January 2002. Mark joined KRON4 from WCBS-TV in New York where he was the station's chief meteorologist. On the network level, Mark has worked as meteorologist and fill-in host for "CBS Saturday Morning," and has appeared on "CBS This Morning," and "The Early Show" with Bryant Gumbel.

James Fletcher

James Fletcher anchors the KRON 4 Morning News from 4am - 6am and then reports from the newsroom until 10am.  He came to KRON 4 in January 2002 as a freelance writer and quickly moved up the ranks.  As a full-time producer, James managed a number of KRON 4 newscasts including the 4PM News and the Bay Area's number one weekend morning newscast, "KRON 4 News Weekend."

George Rask

Traffic Anchor George Rask joined KRON 4 in August 2005 and appears on the KRON 4 Morning News.  Rask is a Bay Area broadcast veteran, beginning here on KCBS radio in 1982.  During his time there, he founded and operated the Bay Area’s premiere regional traffic service, called Traffic Central.  After selling that business, he began Auto Talk, an all-traffic radio channel.

Evelyn Taft

Born and raised on the Peninsula, Evelyn Taft grew up speaking Russian with her Moscow-born parents. As a young girl, she remembers learning English by watching 'The Weather Channel.' While getting her broadcast journalism and political science degrees at the University of Southern California, Evelyn forecasted the weather for the school's live newscast.

Louisa Hodge

Louisa Hodge has spent most of her broadcasting career in Northern California. She joined KRON4 November, 2009.  She previously worked in Sacramento as a weather anchor and reporter at KXTV News10 and KTXL Fox40.  During that time she covered many a snow storm in the Sierra.  She is an Emmy winner and two-time Emmy nominee.

The 159th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival

The 159th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival will take place in San Francisco on Saturday, March 13.  The festival will take place throughout the day, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Civic Center Plaza. Starting at 11:30 AM, on the corner of Market and Second Street, a steady stream of colorful floats, Irish dancers and marching bands will make their way down Market Street to Civic Center Plaza.

The Fifth Annual Lakeshore Neighborhood Plant Exchange

The Fifth Annual Lakeshore Neighborhood Plant Exchange is set for Saturday March 27th from Noon to 4:00 p.m. at 3811 Lakeshore Avenue in Oakland. The fall event was a rousing success and now it's time to do it again! Just in time for spring pruning and planting. Last year, 300 people attended and more than 1,500 plants, large and small, found new homes.

Join KRON 4 at the Emerald 12k Across the Bay, Sunday, March 21.  You will run or walk from Sausalito to San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge in this 7 ½ mile course with breathtaking views every step of the way.  The event benefits Edgewood Center for Children & Families.

World Affairs Challenge

Join KRON 4 Saturday, April 17th for the World Affairs Challenge.  More than 500 middle and high school students from Northern California school will convene at San Francisco State University to compete in the eighth annual academic, hosted by San Francisco-based global education non-profit World Savvy.  It is the largest event for San Francisco students encouraging responsible global citizenship.

Civil Rights Leader Visits Mission High School's Black Student Union

The Mission High School Black Student Union has the honor of hosting a distinguished Civil Rights Pioneer, Claudette Colvin to visit with steudents during the day and with the community in the evening of March 18, 2010.   Ms. Colvin was the first African American female to refuse to give up her seat on the Montgomery Bus in 1955.

February is Teen Violence Prevention Month A Safe Place, in collaboration with the City of Oakland has produced a DVD titled: "Real Talk" - Teen Dating Violence Prevention.  The screening will take place Thursday, Feburary 11 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Elihu M. Harris State Building Auditorium - 1515 Clay Street in Oakland, CA.
