Bay Area Dog Lovers Show Off Their Loved Ones for National Puppy Day

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Friday is National Puppy Day, a time when dog lovers celebrate their puppies of all ages and animal protection advocates urge people to spay and neuter their pets.

National Puppy Day has been around since 2006.  

"More importantly, it's a day to help save orphaned puppies across the globe and educate the public about the horrors of puppy mills, as well as further our mission for a nation of puppy-free pet stores." organizers write.
