Officers responded to 4273 Central Ave. at about 11 p.m. on a report of gunshots heard and found the victim, a Fremont resident, unconscious in a driveway with a gunshot wound to the head.
The man was transported to San Jose Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His identity had not been released as of tonight.
The suspect was described as a black man in his 20s with earrings in both ears. He was wearing a white T-shirt, police said.
