Robbers Cut Victim in the Neck in San Francisco's Tenderloin District

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) -- A man was cut in the neck with a knife and robbed after exiting a  corner store in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood late Tuesday night,  police said.

      The 38-year-old victim was approached by three suspects as he  walked out of a store at Turk and Jones streets at about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday  with change in his hands, according to police.

      One of the suspects demanded the man's money, then cut him twice  on the neck with a knife, police said.

      The two other suspects knocked the victim to the ground, stole his  change, and the trio ran away. They had not been found as of this morning,  according to police.

      The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries,  which are not considered life-threatening, police said.
