STOCKTON (KRON)--Two women have been arrested and another remains at large in connection with an identity theft ring based out of a motel in Stockton.
Police say San Joaquin County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a victim whose ATM card had been used to make unauthorized purchases on the Internet. According to authorities, deputies tracked the package deliveries of items ordered to a motel located in the 2800 block of W. March Lane.
When deputies arrived at the location, they made contact with 38-year-old Monica Chavez who was a co-occupant of a room at the motel. Authorities say deputies discovered numerous stolen items including personal checks, identification cards, social security gards, gift cards and computer equipment.
According to police, Chavez was arrested for possession of stolen property, obstructing an investigation and conspiracy. Police say 40-year-old Serena Flores, who worked at the motel was also arrested for conspracy. Deputies are actively searching for 32-year-old Rozalin Slade who they believe to be the main suspect in the theft ring.
Anyone with information about this case should contact the San Joaquin Sheriff's Office.
