DISCOVERY BAY (BCN)--Investigators are trying to identify a man who robbed a Chase bank  branch in Discovery Bay on Wednesday, a Contra Costa County sheriff's  spokesman said today.
Sheriff's deputies got a call at about 1 p.m. Wednesday from  someone reporting that a man had robbed the bank, located on state Highway 4  near Bixler Road, sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.
The man had entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding  money, Lee said. The teller complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed  amount of cash.
The suspect fled the bank and eluded deputies, even after a search  of the area using a sheriff's helicopter and police K-9, Lee said.
He is described as a white man in his 20s who is about 6 feet tall  and weighs roughly 200 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, a black  baseball cap and white tennis shoes.
Anyone with information about the suspect's identity or  whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office at (925) 313-2600.
