HALF MOON BAY (KRON) -- A damaged yacht adrift in the Farallon Islands is now at the Half Moon Bay airport after a daring operation involving a helicopter crane.
The Aris helicopter company provided the chopper which left the Half Moon Bay airport, flew to the Farallons, secured the "Slow Speed Chase" and brought it back to the mainland.
KRON 4's Jeff Bush was on hand as the helicopter, with the yacht dangling below it, approached the airport and gently lowered the boat to the ground.
Five people on board the yacht died more than a week ago when a large wave hit the boat while it was taking part in a race.
