Update: Man Dressed in Construction Vest Wanted in Shooting Near Logan High School in Union City

UNION CITY (KRON) -- Union City police are looking for a man wearing a construction vest and driving a truck with lumber racks in connection with the shooting of a 15-year old student near James Logan High School.  

Investigators tell KRON 4 News the shooting happened just after noon Tuesday near the corner of H and 14th streets a few blocks from the campus.  Witnesses say the victim managed to walk two blocks towards the school before collapsing.  The victim has since been taken to the hospital.  

The suspect is described as a Hispanic adult man in his early 20's wearing a florescent construction vest. He's about 5'2 with a stocky build wearing blue jeans and work boots. Short light brown hair.

The suspect was seen driving a white construction type pickup with lumber racks and blue lettering on the side.

James Logan High and Searles Elementary were on lockdown but both have been lifted. Students from Logan will be released between 3:15 and 3:30 and parents are asked to meet them on Meyers Drive.
