FREMONT (KRON)--A candlelight vigil is planned Monday for a high school football player fatally stabbed after a house party turned violent over the weekend.
Police say 18-year-old Abraham Hade of Fremont has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of 18-year-old Osana Futi on Saturday. Three juveniles have also been arrested for allegedly being accessories to murder.
According to police, officers were dispatched to a house party near Yellowstone Park and Hyde Park drives at 11:19 p.m. Saturday after receiving multiple reports of shots fired and a possible stabbing.
Police say responding officers found Futi laying in the street suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
According to police, investigators didn't find any evidence of shots fired in the area where Futi was found and an autopsy is being planned to confirm that he died from his stab wounds.
Meanwhile, Hade is tentatively scheduled to be arraigned in Alameda County Superior Court in Fremont on Tuesday afternoon.
A candlelight vigil for Futi will be held at Newark Memorial High School Monday night.
