Woman Misses SFO-Bound Flight After Mine Casings Are Found In Luggage

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON)--A New Jersey woman missed her flight to San Francisco Tuesday after Transporation Security Administration agents found land mine casings inside her luggage.
According to TSA officials, explosives experts at Newark Liberty International Airport were called to the checked baggage screening of Terminal C Tuesday morning after a woman's suitcase set off an alarm as it was going through the screening process. TSA says agents found three small claymore land mind casings inside the woman's suitcase, two of chich were packed with shrapnel. No explosives or detonators were found inside the bag.
The woman, a Union, New Jersey resident, told officials she was attending an explosives demonstration. She missed her original flight to San Francisco and was permitted to rebook her flight without the weapons.
