San Jose's Leland High Vice-Principal Charged with Molesting Student

SAN JOSE (KRON) -- Police are looking for more potential victims of a high school vice-principal who is now facing charges he molested a student.
School officials sent out a warning to parents about the charges against Joseph Reghitto, who is an administrator at Leland High in San Jose.
"We sent out a parent link to our parents to apprise them of the situation," San Jose Unified spokeswoman Karen Fuqua tells KRON 4's Rob Fladeboe. "Before they heard it from anyone else, we wanted to make sure they heard it from our administration, actually."
Authorities haven't revealed the name, age, or gender of the alleged victim in the case. They say the alleged assault happened off-campus and happened last September.
"He was always very professional," one parent said. "I never felt anything untoward about him or his interaction with the girls, I assume it was a girl. I'm kind of shocked right now."
Reghitto has worked for the school district since 2004 and previously taught at two other schools. Investigators say it's too soon to tell if he victimized other students at any of those schools.
"We always explore that possibility," San Jose Police Sgt. Jose Garcia said. "So, that being said, we do ask that if anyone has information or recognizes this individual and they've been victimized or have information about other victims, to please reach out to the police department and give us that information."
If you know anything about this case, contact San Jose police or your local authorities.
