ANTIOCH (KRON) -- One person is in custody after a three-alarm fire at a tire store on the border between Antioch and Pittsburg that sent black smoke over much of the East Bay Tuesday afternoon.

KRON 4's Charles Clifford reports firefighters extinguished the blaze at Blue Star Tires on Pittsburg Antioch Highway at about 7:00 p.m.

The fire tore through three businesses at the location.  Thick plumes of black smoke slowed traffic on Highway Four during the afternoon rush hour.

No one was hurt in the blaze.  Arson investigators have not yet determined and exact cause of the fire but our cameras captured video of police putting one man in handcuffs and taking him from the scene while the flames were still raging.  Investigators haven't yet said what he will be charged with or if that man played a role in starting the fire.

The Contra Costa Health Department issued a warning for people with breathing difficulties to avoid the area but there were no evacuations or shelter-in-place orders.
