CASTRO VALLEY (KRON)--Police are investigating the mysterious death of a person whose body was found in a Castro Valley neighborhood Monday night.

 

Authorities say that the body was discovered at about 7 p.m. in the garage of a home in the 4300 block of Omega Avenue after police received a phone call about criminal activity in the area. Neighbors tell KRON 4's Will Tran that the owner of the home was away on vacation when the body was found; however they say that the owner's adult son was seen at the house over the past few days.

 

The identity of the decedent is unknown but police say the victim is a white man in his 20s. Police say it is unclear how the person died and a large amount of blood was found at the scene.
