RICHMOND (BCN)-A man who was shot to death in Richmond's Iron Triangle neighborhood Wednesday has been identified as 27-year-old Donald Washington, a police lieutenant said Friday.
Washington, a Richmond resident, was sitting in his parked car in the 500 block of Eighth Street just after 10 a.m. Wednesday when two suspects approached on foot and started firing into the vehicle, according to Lt. Bisa French.
The 27-year-old suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The suspects, described as two males possibly in their late teens, fled the scene after the shooting and remain at large.
Washington's death marks Richmond's eighth homicide this year.
