SANTA ROSA (BCN)--A Santa Rosa man accused of abducting his three daughters Thursday in a fight with his estranged wife is scheduled to be arraigned Monday afternoon, according to prosecutors.
Jose Alberto Rojo, 25, is scheduled to be arraigned in Sonoma County Superior Court on charges including assault with a deadly weapon, child endangerment and child concealment, prosecutors said.
Rojo was arrested Thursday in a Motel 6 parking lot on Cleveland Street shortly after the girls were recovered. He had apparently turned them over to a third party, who in turn delivered them to a relative at Howarth Park who called police.
Rojo allegedly drove away with the girls after an argument with his estranged wife at the insurancelice.
Rojo allegedly drove away with the girls after an argument with his estranged wife at the insurance office where she worked, in a shopping center at 1791 Marlow Road, according to police.
He allegedly told his wife, who had reportedly filed divorce papers earlier that day, that he was going to harm himself and that she would never see the children again, and rammed the doors of the business with his vehicle before driving away.
Police said there was a restraining order against Rojo, who had an alleged history of domestic violence.
