SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The San Francisco County Coroner's office confirms a body found in the Bay Wednesday morning is that of a missing Los Angeles Dodgers fan.

The body was found in the water along San Francisco's  Embarcadero Wednesday morning.

Victor Murlillo was last seen a week ago after attending a Dodgers-Giants game at AT&T Park.  He was said to have been wearing blue jeans, a blue  jacket, a white T-shirt and a Dodgers cap when he disappeared.

Family friend Anthony Omelas tells KRON 4 News the coroner's office called Murillo's cousin Wednesday afternoon to confirm the fingerprints on the body match those of the 27-year old Vacaville prison guard.

San Francisco police spokesman Officer Carlos Manfredi said a  passerby spotted the body in the water near the foot of Howard Street shortly  before 8 a.m. today.

He said the passerby flagged down a nearby San Francisco Fire  Department boat, and firefighters responded and retrieved the body from the  Bay.

The medical examiner's office was called to the scene and has took custody of the body, Manfredi said.

Last Friday, dozens of Murillo's friends and family members  carried out their own search, distributing flyers and recruiting volunteers  with boats to search the water.

Murillo, a Woodland resident who works as a corrections officer in  Vacaville, moved to Northern California several years ago, friends said.
