Illegal Weapons Seized in Bay Point

MARTINEZ (KRON) -- A Bay Point man is facing felony charges after Contra Costa County deputies say they found a cache of more than four dozen illegal weapons inside his home.

Deputies went to 50-year old Mike Kestner's house on Bella Vista Avenue
in Bay Point Thurday evening as part of an ongoing criminal
investigation.  Once inside the home, deputies say they found a loaded
Uzi sub-machine gun on a bed. 

Authorities say they then got a search warrant for the home where they
found 49 illegal weapons including Uzis, shotguns, rifles, and handguns.
The weapons were seized and taken into evidence, officials say.

Kestner remains in the Contra Costa County Jail in Martinez on $50,000
bail.  He's facing charges including assault with a deadly weapon and
illegal possession of an assault weapon.

The arrest also involved members of the CASE team, a joint effort of
Contra Costa County Sheriffs deputies and the California Department of
