SANTA ROSA (KRON) -- Two underaged teens are among the witnesses to an early morning shooting inside a Santa Rosa bar that left one man wounded and two others in custody.
A police officer says he was doing a security check at the El Puente bar and restaurant on Santa Rosa Avenue just after 2:00 a.m. Tuesday when he heard a gunshot. Moments later the officer says he found a victim trying to flee the scene in a car.
The victim, 30-year old Jose Chavez, was suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest and knee. He was later treated and released from a local hospital.
Investigators say they found two potential witnesss to the shooting in the bar, a 15-year old and a 16-year old girl. Eventually detectives arrested 34-year old Julio Cesar Fernandez and 23-year old Jesus Antonio Amador-Siordia for Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Reckless Discharge of a Firearm and Conspiracy.
