Rally to Mark Six-Month Anniversary of Hasanni Campbell Disappearance

A rally will be held outside Oakland police headquarters Wednesday night to mark the six-month anniversary of the disappearance of Hasanni Campbell, a  6-year-old boy who went missing in the city's Rockridge neighborhood in  August. Rally organizer Sherri-Lyn Miller said at least 50 people are  expected to gather tonight to boost public awareness about Hasanni, who went  missing Aug. 10 from a car parked outside the Shuz of Rockridge shoe store in  the 6000 block of College Avenue.

Reward to Find Hasanni Campbell Increased to $75,000

Three months after Hasanni Campbell was reported missing from the  parking lot of an Oakland shoe store, the reward for him has been increased  to $75,000. Hasanni, who has cerebral palsy, was reported missing by his  foster father, Louis Ross, from the parking lot of Shuz of Rockridge in the  600 block of College Avenue about 4:15 p.m. on Aug. 10.

Bay Area Counties Help Increase Hasanni Campbell Reward to $60,000

Oakland police say the reward for missing 5-year-old boy Hasanni Campbell is increasing to $60,000 thanks to large contributions from Alameda and San  Francisco counties. Hasanni, who has cerebral palsy, was reported missing by his  foster father, Louis Ross, from the parking lot of the Shuz of Rockridge Shoe  store in the 6000 block of College Avenue about 4:15 p.m. on Aug. 10.

Update: Acting Police Chief Says Investigators Know Hasanni Campbell Was Not in Oakland on Date of Reported Disappearance

The acting police chief says investigators know five-year old Hasanni Campbell was not in Oakland on August 10th, the day the foster parents say the child disappeared. Acting Chief Howard Jordan made the remarks at a news conference held after prosecutors said there isn't enough evidence to charge Louis Ross with murder in the case.

Foster Mother of Missing 5-Year-Old Has Been Released From Police Custody

Five-year old Hasanni Campbell's step-mother insists he's done nothing wrong. Jennifer Campbell made the comments while leaving the Santa Rita jail Monday after spending the weekend in custody.  Prosecutors now say they don't have enough evidence to hold Campbell.  The missing child's step-father Louis Ross remains jailed.  The Alameda County District Attorney's office says it will announce charges, if any, against Ross on Tuesday.

Foster Parents Arrested, Hasanni Campbell Believed to be Dead

The foster parents of five year old Hasanni Campbell have been arrested. Oakland police arrested Louis Campbell Friday afternoon in Fremont.  Jennifer Campbell was taken into custody in Oakland.  Investigators say no remains of the child have been located, but it is now a full homicide investigation.

Oakland Store Owner Calls For Help in Search for Hasanni Campbell

San Leandro business owner Sherri Miller says she's  looking for more businesses to step forward and help raise money to increase  the reward for information about Hasanni Campbell, a 5-year-old Fremont boy  who disappeared more than two weeks ago. Oakland police and Crime Stoppers have announced a $10,000 reward  in the search for Hasanni, who was reported missing from the parking lot of  the Shuz of Rockridge shoe store in the 6000 block of College Avenue in  Oakland at about 4:15 p.m. on Aug. 10.

Foster Father of Missing Boy Defends Self in Interview, Says Focus of Investigation Should Be on the Child

The foster father of a missing 5-year-old with cerebral palsy is defending himself, saying the focus of the investigation should not be on him, but on his missing boy. Hasanni Campbell disappeared August 10th after the foster father, Louis Ross, says he left him in a car near an Oakland shoe store where Jennifer, the boy’s aunt and foster mother, works.

Search of Hasanni Campbell's Foster Father's House Fails to Turn Up Sword

Police are still searching for a sword or other cutting object that they say could lead to the discovery of five year old Hasanni Campbell. KRON 4's Will Tran obtained copies of the search warrants served on the home of Hasanni's foster father, Louis Ross in Fremont. Police reports show a search of the home failed to turn up any sign of the sword.
